Apple 即将最终抛弃powerpc
 

Adobe today put PowerPC users on notice: in a newly published FAQ, the company confirms that future versions of the Creative Suite will run only on Intel-based Macs. In explaining the move, Adobe cited Apple’s announcement that the forthcoming release of Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6) will not support the PowerPC chip set.

“With Apple’s future development focused on Intel Macs, Adobe is aligning its resources accordingly. Customers are being notified to provide fair notice of any changes regarding the operating systems and hardware supported by Adobe solutions. By announcing these changes now, Adobe customers will have time to plan their migration strategy accordingly.”

According to the FAQ document, Creative Suite 4 and Creative Suite 3 will continue to run on both PowerPC and Intel machines, but Adobe will limit all future updates to the programs to fixing “critical issues.”

或许老mac就只能用到adobe cs 4和mac os 10.5了！

科技在不斷進步,只要MAC的外觀設計創新和質量還在就行了.

感觉IBM生产的powerpc处理器稳定性强于INTEL,只是IBM现在主要把精力放在开发服务器和游戏芯片上,所以MAC只有放弃IBM转头INTEL的怀抱了:shame:

我也觉得powerpc的稳定性强于intel，G4以前的时代，powerpc的图像处理能力是绝对强于intel的。现在mac吸引人的就只有华丽的外表和唯美的os了

powerpc处理器不是IBM的啊,是motorola的.查了一下,好象是两家都产的?怎么这样?
两家时常有生产一个相同的型号，为了区分，IBM生产的称为PPC(PowerPC)，Motorola生产的称为MPC(Motorola PowerPC)。不过苹果一般只会在机器规格上标注PowerPC，而不会告诉消费者是用哪个公司的处理器/
G0是Motorola的独家产物，G1到G3由Motorola和IBM联合生产，而G4由Motorola包办，G5由IBM包办。

这也是没办法。苹果也要跟着市场走。

是啊，特别是PPC的Mac现在要增加内存都很难找到了，而且价格超贵，估计我们也只能跟着苹果走了。

我的intel mac用的是FB-DIMM的内存，也很难找到兼容的PC内存

苹果这种东西在这个价格竞争的时代迟早淘汰了 不要死抱不放了

兼容 开放 还是很重要的。。。。。。
