System Requirement:
-------------------
Operating System:
- Mac: Requires Apple Mac OS 10.4 or later
- Win: Requires Windows XP operating system or Vista OS
operating system

RAM: 1 GB RAM or more

Hard disk space: 1 GB free hard disk space

Screen Resolution: 1280 x 960 minimum resolution


To Install:
-----------
* Do not attempt to install Kodak Preps software on a
computer that is or was previously configured with
Kodak Prinergy software that runs on a server.

To prevent serious problems, if you use integrated Preps with
Prinergy, never install or update Preps software on the
AraxiPreps volume of a Prinergy server. Instead, wait until
a version of Prinergy installs the most current Preps compatible update.

You can update Preps software on the client computers
-- never on the server.

Preps 6 software is not currently installed by the Prinergy
version 5.x or older Workshop Installer: it must be separately
purchased and installed.


On Mac:
-------
1. Double-click the Preps_6-0-0_Mac_Installer.dmg to mount Disk Image.
2. Restart the Mac when prompted.
3. When launching Preps for the first time, click OK to go to
the Licensing dialog box and correctly input your license type.

On Windows:
-----------
1. Double-click the Preps_6-0-0_Win_Installer.exe file to
run the installer.
2. When launching Preps for the first time, click OK to go
to the Licensing dialog box and correctly input your license type.


Licensing:
----------
The Preps 6 software is activated via USB iKey dongle-based
licensing or, in Prinergy workflows, via floating license.

Floating Licensing:
-------------------
Preps 6.0 floating licenses can be used with:
- Prinergy Connect software, version 5.0.3.2 and later
- Prinergy Evo software, version 5.1.6.0 and later

28676: [Mac/Win] Print PDF/PS/PPF clears 慜utput to PS mark flats
for PJTF/JDF?setting. Workaround: reset in Preferences.


Pages Run List:
--------------
28800: [Mac/Win] Come and Go binding styles with multi-webs.
With auto pagination feature the building of Come and Go assures
the placement of pages and sections are correct. Duplication of
Press Runs, or deletion of Press Runs or Webs can affect the
Pages Run List and page assignments. Please check the page assignments
after any duplicate or delete operations.

inconsistent results in the Press Run view. Output is fine.

could place the fold mark incorrectly.

whose page count cannot be evenly divided by 4 is incorrect.

job with classic collation marks. Workaround: resave the job and reopen.

27471: [Mac/Win] JDF/Auto Signature Creation. Preps fails to find MediaRef,
if it is placed before StrippingParams in the JDF file.

27472: [Mac/Win] Preps cannot recognize the fold pattern as specified in the
JDF where there are 32pp that are first folded with a horizontal roll fold,
followed by a vertical roll fold.

28028: [Mac] Preps cannot parse and resolve UTF-16 encoded JDF. Workaround:
try opening with the Preps on Windows.
